Terms of Service

The rules of engagement.

Last updated: September 2026. Governed by Greek law and the EU consumer-rights directives.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all services and sales from Electronic Studio (Χρυσοστόμου Σμύρνης 7, Νέα Μουδανιά, Halkidiki 63200, Greece). By booking a service or purchasing a device, you agree to these terms.

2. Repair services

Intake. Every repair begins with a written quote after a diagnostic (€20, refunded if you proceed). The quote lists the fault, the parts, the labour, and the estimated turnaround. No work starts until you approve.

Approval. Approval can be given in person, by phone, by email, or via SMS. We keep a record of the approval alongside the quote.

Change of scope. If the actual fault differs from the diagnostic, we contact you before continuing. New parts or labour are quoted separately; no work proceeds without your approval.

Parts. We use OEM parts where available and reasonably priced; OEM-grade aftermarket elsewhere. The quote specifies which.

Data. You're responsible for backing up your data before any repair. We are not liable for data loss during a repair, however caused. We will not access your data unless the repair specifically requires it (e.g. OS reinstall, data recovery) and you've given explicit consent.

3. Warranty

Every repair and every refurbished device we sell carries a twelve-month workshop warranty. The warranty covers the specific fault repaired (for repairs) or the full device (for refurbished sales).

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by physical impact, liquid, or misuse after the repair.
  • Issues unrelated to the original repair (e.g. a screen replacement does not cover a charging port failure two months later).
  • Devices opened or repaired by a third party after our service.
  • Normal wear (battery degradation, cosmetic marks).

4. Refurbished sales

Each refurbished device is graded A, B, or C based on cosmetic condition (see the refurbished page). All grades are fully functional with battery health above the grade threshold.

Right of withdrawal. For online or distance purchases, you have 14 days to withdraw under EU consumer law. The device must be in the same condition as received. For in-person purchases at our workshop, the right of withdrawal does not apply (Greek consumer law: ΚΥΑ Ζ1-891/2013).

Defects. Under Greek consumer law (Αστικός Κώδικας & Ν. 2251/1994), refurbished goods carry a two-year legal guarantee against hidden defects. Our twelve-month workshop warranty sits alongside this and does not replace it.

5. Installation services

Security, networking, and on-site installations begin with a free survey (within Halkidiki; €60+ in Thessaloniki, credited against the final invoice). The survey produces a written scope: equipment list, locations, cabling plan, timeline, and price.

Installation work carries the same twelve-month workshop warranty as repairs. Manufacturer warranties on equipment (cameras, alarms, NAS) pass through unchanged.

6. Payment

Payment methods: cash, card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), bank transfer. Business accounts with thirty-day invoicing available on approval. Greek VAT applies at the standard rate (currently 24%) for Greek customers; reverse-charge applies for valid EU VAT IDs.

Payment is due on collection of the device. Devices uncollected after 60 days may be disposed of; we'll contact you before doing so.

7. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the service or device. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost business, lost data, lost time). Where Greek consumer law provides stronger protections, those prevail.

8. Cancellations

You may cancel a repair at any point before approval at no charge. After approval but before work starts: €10 admin fee. After work starts: parts cost + labour to that point.

For installations: cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. Within 48 hours: 25% of the quote.

9. Disputes

We aim to resolve any disagreement directly. If we can't, Greek consumer-law disputes can be brought before the Ευρωπαίος Διαμεσολαβητής (European Consumer Centre Greece) or the Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή. EU consumers can also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. Jurisdiction: courts of Thessaloniki, Greece.

These terms are also available in Greek on request.
